Alongisde mountaineering, I've also been passionate about computers. From early years at primary School where I would help the teachers on the Acorn machines used at the time, to the present day where I build responsive mobile and desktop friendly websites. Qualifications & Programming Language Experience

I have a formal education in computer science from the University of Bath receiving a bachelor of science degree with honours in 2006.

Since then I've worked on many projects for a variety of organisations keeping up to date with the latest developments in technology and methodology. Any newly learnt techniques are always underpined by a formal understanding from my degree.

Hand Crafted HTML Site

This site is an example of a hand crafted HTML and CSS with the Bootstrap framework for rapid development. Images are served in a variety of sizes for speed of loading and the site is fully mobile freindly built using responsive code.

Wordpress as a CMS for a Trekking Company

I was commissioned by Thistle Trekking to re-develope there website onto a CMS platform and to handle a variety of page types including; treks, articles, bespoke landing pages and a blog. The site also connected to a payment gateway in order to take deposits for bookings. This site was built on the Wordpress Platform using ACF to handle various post types and Asyncronous date requests to draw up pricing information.

Large Retailer E-Commerce Projects; New E-Commerce Platform, Ratings and Reviews, Click and Collect

While working as Snow and Rocks E-Commerce Manager I was in charge of a number of large projects including a full site redevelopment onto a new platform, intergration of Bazaar Voice Ratings and Reviews, and implementation of a click and collect system.

All these projects had a number of stakeholders and departments to cordinate with as well as designing the user experiences and back office integration.

While working at Ents24, I was the lead developer of a templating system in order to smooth future rapid development of the site.
